Boarding/Training 3 Week Basic Obedience Program

Boarding/Training is a favorite with those owners/family's who simply do not have the time due to busy schedules or with those wanting a professional to train their pet. In our Boarding/Training Packages we take great pride in being chosen as your pets second home. Your pets stay here with us will not be like at a conventional kennel. We limit our attention to three Boarding/Training dogs. Your pet will experience a lifestyle conducive to that of a family/house pet. OUR GUESTS ARE NOT PUT INTO INDOOR/OUTDOOR RUNS.

Your pet will have the daily contact as if home with you. We utilize the crate for timeout/resting. There are fenced in areas for exercising as well as free running areas on our 10 acre farm. Your pets stay with us will be three weeks for training. Our methods are flexible based on the individuals temperament and ability.

Once the training has been completed we then take the time to educate you. These visits are at your convenience and you will learn:

1. How to command your dog

2. How to work with your dog

3. Instruction how to insure your pets response to you and your family.

Commands learned will be Basic obedience (on leash): SIT, DOWN, COME, HEEL, NO

We do not use STAY for holding the sit or down. The sit or down is to be held until your pet is released.

For our Basic Obedience program, we offer boarding/training package at $800.00 and must be paid in full at the beginning of this program. A pre-registration interview may be required as well as proof of vaccinations.

Private one on one 8 Week Basic Obedience Program

Basic Obedience provides you with an effective way to communicate, giving a common language to base your day to day interaction with your pet. This foundation minimizes confusion for you and your pet. The leash is an umbilical cord connecting you to your dog. The leash helps in:

1. Guiding

2. Correcting

3. Keeping control

More importantly the leash provides us with the means of shaping behavior. This is the foundation of communication. A common language.

Commands learned will be Basic obedience (on leash): SIT, DOWN, COME, HEEL, NO

We do not use STAY for holding the sit or down. The sit or down is to be held until your pet is released.

There are no group sessions. Whether we are training your pet or training you all sessions are on a one to one basis. Our methods are flexible based on the individuals temperament and ability. For our Basic Obedience program, we offer private sessions at $600.00 and must be paid in full at the beginning of this program. A pre-registration interview may be required as well as proof of vaccinations.

Private one on one Advance Obedience Program

Proper obedience develops the bond between you and your pet. Off-Leash obedience brings your pet to the next level of responsibility to commands and its faith in you as a leader. The prerequisite for Off-Leash training is Basic Obedience. If your goal is to have influence over your pet beyond the limits of a six foot leash, this program is for you.

Commands taught (off leash): SIT, DOWN, COME, HEEL, HERE, NO, OK

There are no group sessions. Whether we are training your pet or training you all sessions are on a one to one basis. Our methods are flexible based on the individuals temperament and ability. For our Advance Obedience Program, we offer private sessions at $800.00 and must be paid in full at the beginning of this program. A pre-registration interview may be required as well as proof of vaccinations. Our Basic Obedience course is pre-required for this program.

Behavior Modification

Behavioral problems often result from unclear communication, spoiling or simply from not knowing how/where your pet fits in with you and your family. Although obedience may help it may not always be the answer. Example, your pet may be very obedient but may still:

1. Bark continuously

2. Chew (destructive behavior)

3. Show aggression or flight behavior etc.

Most behavior problems have resulted because of improper management. Proper neutrization/imprinting is essential to being a balanced pet. Interestingly, behavior is brought about as a consequence of learning. Your pet will learn to do things whether you want it to or not. The secret is in directing your pet towards learning what is beneficial to you and your family.
